Velasquez and Werdum Targeted for April in Mexico

It has been reported that the UFC is targeting Cain Velasquez's next title fight to be against Fabricio Werdum in April of 2014. The fight is being planned to be the UFC's first fight in Mexico.

Mexico makes sense for Cain's next title defense considering he is the biggest name in the UFC of Mexican decent and the baddest man in the UFC's Heavyweight division.  I feel like the tickets will sell out instantly with Cain as the headliner. If you don't believe me, just replay UFC 166 and listen to the eruption in the Houston crowd as the Hispanic-inspired theme song came on when Cain walked out to the Octogon. That eruption resembled that of GSP in Canada or Anderson Silva in Brazil.

This is a great move for the UFC as they further develop their global expansion around the world.  The Spanish speaking community will be very pleased with the move and bringing an event to that area will definitely open the door to other events in the future if this event is successful.
