UFC President, Dana White has stated that Cat Zingano is recovering pretty well and expects her to be ready to fight again in the summer of 2014.
Cat Zingano fell victim to a knee injury not long after her tko victory over Miesha Tate earlier this year. With Zingano hurt, that opened the door to Tate getting a second crack at Ronda Rousey who took her Strikeforce title in 2012. Despite Tate replacing Zingano as the challenger for Rousey's title, Dana White still says that Cat Zingano will remain the number one contender. If she can recover in time he hopes to have her challenge the winner of this weekends fight between Tate and Rousey.
