UFC 169 was originally rumored to be a bout headlined by a clash of two titans for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. It had been leaked to the media that UFC Champ Jon Jones would be squaring off with Glover Teixeira, but it was announced that the fight had not been official sign-sealed-delivered and would be targeted for sometime in March or April.
Now Dana White has said that a UFC Featherweight title fight may be in the works for UFC 169 in February on Superbowl weekend. White stated that the fight between Jose Aldo and Ricardo Lamas may be a potential fight for that weekend. He stated that nothing was set in stone, but the fight was an option that could fit for that weekend.
